How can i use my VGA monitor to install my DVI out PCI card drivers? *read description*?

i have a HP Compac desktop DC series, i just bought a DVI out / S-Video out PCI card. i dont have the DVI cable yet so no monitor has been plug into it yet. i wanna install the drivers but when i plug in the card my VGA monitor won't display anything. how can i install da drivers? i wanna use both outputs to display the same image on two monitors, 1 VGA and 1 DVI but dont know how to do this|||I think you bought a video card to outsmart the onboard graphics card. It would be a better idea to return the PCI card and get a PCI Express or AGP Video card (depending on what your motherboard has) and then it will be supported, plus you will have better graphics performance.

If you don't have a PCI Express or AGP, then it would be easier if you get a DVI to VGA converter. If you want a better graphics card, then disable the onboard video card and use the PCI, but you would be missing out if you have a AGP or PCI Express.|||Enter the BIOS and set the PCI video to be enabled instead of the onboard graphics.. It will work without drivers, the resolution will just be out of whack until you install the drivers.
