is this a good card for gaming for the price or is there something better for around it i have a machine that came with a ati radeon hd 5450 512 mb card in it and i want an upgrade. i bought the geforce galaxy gt430 1gb and read some reviews that its not great for gaming can someone help please.|||No Radeon 5450 is considered a gaming card, it's a POS, the GT 430 is actually better, though neither card is very good for gaming.
If you want a video card that can run newer games at least decently, You're going to have to step up to a Radeon 5750 or GeForce GTS 450 at the very minimum. Don't waste your time and money on crap video cards.|||that is a 2.i PCIe the 5770 2.1 is here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/…
does the mother board support PCIe 2.1 or 2.0 or both ?

the 5770
Memory Interface: 128-bit
Memory Type: DDR5
Video Memory: 1GB
Core Clock: 850 MHz
Memory Clock: 4800 MHz
Interface Type: PCI Express 2.1|||Depends on what kind of gaming you'll be doing and your price range. There won't be too much difference between that card and your current one, just 1.5GB more memory. I'd suggest a Radeon HD 5670 for general light/medium gaming ($95) and 5770 for heavier gaming ($130-140, forget exact price). Both come in 1GB capacities.
