Why Doesn't my old vga monitor port work with the new PCIE video card installed?

My computer came with a vga montior port attached to the motherboard. It worked fine until I installed a PCIE Nvidia video card. Now, only the video ports on the PCIE card work. I had been hoping to have three monitors working at one time with a window streched across all three. In my Control Panel/System/Hardware/Devices screen, it shows a yellow exclamation point on the listings for "Multimedia Audio Controller" "Other PCI Bridge Device" and "SM Bus Controller," which are listed under "Other Devices."

People have suggested that I can purchase a new PCI video card for one of my open PCI slots, but I don't know why my factory original VGA port no longer works. I am afraid if I purchase a new PCI card that it wont work with in tandum with the PCIE card either. Any thoughts?

Matt|||Are you connecting the DVI to the video card and make sure you're not connecting to the onboard.
